buy 5 items of same thing & the guy charges me the highest price FOR ALL THE ITEMS... Didn't see it until I get home. Happened more than once.. Bought 20 items paid over $112.00 then paid sales tax on top of it.

I brought my 12-year-old son into the Hobby Emporium to look for items he needed for a school project. First, we were followed around the store like we were going to steal something. Then comments were made about what we were picking up to buy by the associate who was working there. We had already been asked if we needed help, and we politely told the person that we did not and we were just looking at this time. He continued to follow us around the store, and then he just intruded upon our conversation about exactly what my son needed for his project. He ridiculed my son to the point where I walked out of the store. He made my son feel as though the science project would not work, even though my son had had the project approved by his science teacher. My son's exact words were "I hope he feels good about himself making me feel like a total failure in life". People like this should NOT be working with the public and hopefully will die soon. I don't know who he was, but he worked there on a Saturday. I would NEVER go back tot hat store again, there is a much better store just over the border in NH.

After driving over two hours from CT to the border of New Hampshire, I had high hopes for Hobby Emporium and I wasn't disappointed. They do have a very large selection of trains and models, but what I was interested in was their SCX digital slot cars. This shop has a huge inventory of SCX brand slot car products IN STOCK. They are so knowledgeable that it was worth the ride just to speak to IAN Kempf, their resident slot car specialist. It's great to see dealers who are enthusiast themselves and love what they do. They also offer pre-ordering of exclusive limited models.

Been there several times, buying items for people I know AND myself as well. EXCELLENT place for Hobbies of all types. Hobby stores in Southern NH dont come close to this one at all!
