The owner of The Lodge apartments, Bob Miller, is completely unreasonable. We have lived at The Lodge on 2 separate occasions. Our most recent stay last 1.5 years. We had very little complaints during our stay (just minor noise). The lease requires a 60 day vacate notice and we complied with this request and gave a written 61 day notice to vacate. On the day we turned in our keys we also had the manager on duty perform a walk-thru inspection on video. She stated that the apartment looked in good condition (we cleaned, spot-painted, and shampooed the carpets ourselves) and told us that the only deduction from our security deposit would be the final water bill.



Per the Oklahoma Landlord tenant act, landlords are required to mail the move-out statement or disposition of security deposit within 30 days. We received the move-out statement post marked 45 days after we vacated.



The move-out statement was riddled with errors including charges for extra rent (that we did not owe), shampooing the carpets (which we did ourselves), cleaning the apartment (which we did ourselves as well) and they did not even credit our security deposit to the supposed damages. The move-out statement also states that we gave no vacate notice which is why they kept the security deposit for themselves and did not apply to the fake bill.



We spoke to the owner, Bob Miller, on 06/18/2013 and he flat-out refused to help in any way and even hung up on us. We also sent a complaint a few days letter and request to fix the fake bill but he still has not complied.



He is in direct violation of the law and refuses to correct the bill. We warned him that if he chose to ignore our request we would be forced to take this matter to small claims court. We really do not want to be forced to sue him and the lodge but since he refuses to correct this simple mistake it looks like that is our only option.



DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT FROM THE LODGE. DO NOT TRY TO HAVE A CIVIL, RATIONAL CONVERSATION WITH BOB MILLER. HE REFUSES TO LET YOU SPEAK AND WILL NOT LISTEN TO REASON. I HAVE PROOF IN WRITING OF EVERYTHING STATED ABOVE AND EVEN A VIDEO RECORDING TO BACK ME UP.
