I have shopped there and most of their sales force used to work at Harbor Freight Tool.

I've shopped at Steve's for years. There are cheap low quality tools available, but also contractor grade, more expensive tools. If you only need a specialized tool for one time use, it's nice not having to sink a lot of money into it. I've always been treated very well.

Cheap often low quality tools at cheap prices. Some of the sales people have sterotyped views of customers. I was treated like a dumb woman who - like the customer in their tv ad - didn't know what a hammer was called. Thing is I have worked with a variety of tools for decades. I do much of my own home and auto repair work and I also work with a variety of materials - including metal, glass and leather. I prefer not to buy single use throw away tools - and I require that the businesses I patronize treat me with a minimum level of respect. Steve's fails on both counts.
