Don't do it! My mom called telling me that she and my dad had just purchased a ton of meat from a door to door salesman. She wanted me to split the order with her since they don't cook at home much. I agreed. First of all, she said that the salesman told her that the steaks were certified prime (which I laughed off instantly) they absolutely are NOT prime steaks. I received 4 filets in my half of the order. 3 of the 4 were so tough that they were pretty much inedible. I can't even explain how tough they were. It wasn't because they were over cooked (we eat our steaks medium-rare to medium). I cooked them two separate times, the second time paying attention to the meat when it was raw. I could tell that they weren't going to be good steaks. The meat felt firm and tough even when it was completely thawed. It also had a brownish color to it. I cooked them anyway and, of course, they were terrible. My mom said that one of her filets (they've only cooked 2 so far) was like that as well. I also cooked some boneless ribeyes for a backup plan and they weren't much better. They were edible but I would compare the quality to a very cheap grocery store steak. I am very disappointed in the quality of these steaks. I would NEVER buy from them again. I added a photo of the raw steaks. The bottom is the one that was brown and very tough. The top one wasn't great either but it was edible. You can see the color difference.

We purchased two boxes of steak last weekend and were really surprised by the quality. We have butchered our own beef before so know how good meet is supposed to taste. I am not sure what the previous post was referring to regarding the expiration date because I couldn't locate one. There is a lot number listed on the packaging so maybe there was some confusion about what that number represents. What really impressed me was the money back guarantee. We won't be using it but it was a big influence on our purchase. I hope they come back. I am going to try the chicken next.

This company pulled up in our drive way and claimed they had meat for sell at a good price. BUT WHEN WE LOOKED CLOSE IT EXPIRED IN JANUARY!! ( 4 MONTHS AGO! )These people drive around trying to sell EXPIRED meat. THIS COMPANY IS NOT A RELIABLE SOURCE.
