Ate there Mother's Day. The service was terrible. Worst I've ever had in a restaurant. Waited almost an hour from the time the appetizer was served before the entree. Had to grab a server to get dessert and then found they were out of the bread pudding.

Best bread pudding around.

Miami's has always been my favorite place to celebrate my birthday. The staff is wonderful & very accommodating with small children. The bread pudding & corn chowder soup are outstanding, that's what keeps me coming back. They also have an excellent breakfast menu. If you try Mimi's just once, you'll be hooked.

Oh What a Breakfast!

During my business trip to Tulsa I tried Mimis Cafe for breakfast on my last day. First of all, the location is convenient and the restaurant gorgeous. They even have outside tables that are served. The menu looked impressive, but whenever I try a new restaurant I go with one of the classics. Here: bacon and eggs, coffee and an orange juice. Nothing special, right? Wrong! In this restaurant, you can substitute the potatoes for fresh fruit for a small charge and have a choice of muffin or toast. Fruit and toast it was for me. When I got my breakfast I couldn't believe my eyes: it was PERFECT! The bacon of high-quality and done just right, crispy but not dry. The eggs just how I ordered them, the toast cross but not too much and buttered. And fresh fruit that was not only fresh but plentiful and really yummy. But what blew me away was the presentation on the plate: picture-ready and obviously done with a lot of experience, care and an attention to detail. Extremely pleasing to the eye, and very inviting. I am a not food fetishist and wouldn't call myself a connoisseur but I am convinced that presentation is important. Somebody at the restaurant "got it".

The freshly-pressed orange juice was above average, too. Compared to that, the coffee was standard, even though they have a full selection of espresso drinks, too. My waiter was alright, friendly but not over-the-board so and the prices are totally adequate for what they deliver. All in all, a very pleasant experience and my only qualms with Mimis Cafe are that I hadn't discovered it sooner. When I'll be back, there will be no other place to enjoy breakfast.
