I know that there are a few bad reviews for this place. From what I have seen they are all directed at former artists Kody and Austin. I wanted to take the time to get on here and inform people that Kody and Austin are no longer at this shop. I would also like to inform everyone that this shop is under new management. Kasey Wolfenkoehler has taken over the manager position at Mi Familia, I can tell you that she has the client's best interest at heart, if you aren't happy she will do anything in her power to help you! All you have to do is be upfront with her and let her know that you are unhappy. Please come visit this shop before you take these reviews to heart. I have seen both the owners and Kasey actively trying to fix all of the mistakes and screw ups from the former artists! Please don't let a couple bad apples spoil the whole bunch for you!

Talked to Kody Wright at mi familia about a cover up. Stated if I paid for the full thing up front, I'd get an hour free. He estimated 4-5 hours total. I paid 500$ cash. 100$ for touchups now. And 400$ for the following Saturday at 1 pm for the cover up. Headed to apt.
Kody texts back saying he doesn't have needles to do the tattoo and will have to reschedule. I take my friend back to her vehicle so she can make hers. I requested my money back and was told it was non refundable. I was irritated at this point. so I went to the shop to talk to a manager about it. he is waiting outside for me and starts saying that he'll touch up my right sleeve. He asked me to reschedule my appointment for the new one I wanted and I agreed to the next day(Sunday March 4th) at noon. My friend was at the shop at 1 and her tattoo artist did not even show up until 330.
Forward to Sunday. I show up at noon as scheduled and Kody did not show up until 1 pm. We then proceeded to look up ideas for the cover up since he did not work on it.
For the next 3 hours, Kody looked up a few sample ideas for the cover up and printed them. Had a few friends stop by, at least 4. Stopped to hang out. He had gone outside to start drawing and take a smoke break. I sat inside waiting for over an hour. To finally go outside and see he is not drawing, but sitting in a friends vehicle. He comes back in and I see that there is nothing drawn other than the circle he had done in the first two minutes I was outside with him. Back to The Computer. We spend 20 minutes browsing and messing with ideas on photoshop. Stencil it. Another 45 minute break. Start working at 5:15. Two more 45 minute breaks so he can associate with his friends. done at 930 pm. He tells me I need to pay him another $300 since my 400 was originally for the final appointment. Out of my 10 hours at this shop today. He only worked maybe 2.5/5 hours when I was originally supposed to get 5 hours for my 400$ for paying it up front.
