I was a pool cleaner at this company for two weeks. At first I thought it was a nice, family owned business until I learnt of the deep hate and discrimination that festered among the family members. One day I was training with the daughter of the owner when I felt deeply uncomfortable regarding her comments toward gay people. It was clear she held discriminatory views. As a gay man, I spoke up for myself, in case she did not know I was gay. We got in a heated argument. Essentially we both agreed to disagree with each other. At the end of the day, I received a text message from her father, the owner of Metro Pool Service, stating I was no longer needed. Wow - I've never felt professional discrimination in my life, however, today it happened. I want potential customers and existing customers to know that Metro Pool Service condones hate and actively discriminates against gay people.
