I went into Ink Junky's when they were in Owasso, and requested a tattoo that was is very special to me...I wanted "Nanny" on the front of my shoulder and I wanted it to look like it had been sewn in, as my grandmother is a very creative woman, and sews, quilts, all that fun stuff. I told them my idea and how I wanted it to look, came back a few hours later, and Mel D did the tattoo for me. He is amazing, he is possibly one of the kindest people I have ever met as well. He is extremely creative, and I will go back to him over and over, for any work I need done. And he was in fact so good, that I went back to him last year, and got a portrait piece done on my arm for a family member who had passed away, and this tattoo is very special to me, and I can not express in words how much I appreciate his work and what he has done for me. It really told me alot about his character, when I brought in my picture of my cousin I wanted done, and my cousin, was a drag queen, and one of the most beautiful queens at that, and Mel took one look at that picture and asked me "so this is your cousin?" "yes, thats him" and he looked at me kind of shocked and said "wow-that is amazing, he looks beautiful!" and then we had a discussion about how men always look better than women when they dress in drag....I realize that even in 2011 people are more understanding and accepting of people and their lifestyles, but it meant alot to me, to go see someone, show them a picture of someone I love dearly, and have them completely accept them, and understand.



He did a beautiful piece for me, in amazing time, and when he was done, I was in tears, because of the beauty of the piece.



And anytime I hear anyone needs a tattoo, Mel is the 1st person i reccommend, and anytime I need work done, he is the 1st person I want to do it.



He has gone above and beyond what I expected in a tattoo artist.
