We tell friends Do not buy from Home-Mart! They brag about a great rating with the BBB but that must be because all the customers that were dissapointed haven't reported them.We are an older couple in our 50's. We special ordered our home 1 yr ago, we got the wrong skirting package installed, they refused to remove it! We have issues with every single window in the house, nothing has been done to correct them. There are plumbing issues, the P-trap was installed sideways allowing septic fumes into the house, making us both sick, we had to fix it our selves. The thermostat was broken, so we couldnt even use the AC (it was over 100 almost everyday outside) we had to replace it ourselves. The countertops are pulling away from the walls. And the walls are not painted they have a sticker on them, so it is bubbling. I have been trying to work with them and the company in Texas that built the house. The leak in the bathroom is ruining the insulation and flooring. I feel a year is plenty of time to have corrected the issues. But Home Mart owner and sales people don't even call to see if you are satisified with their service or the home you purchased. Once they get your deposit, you'll never hear from them again unless you are calling them...weekly...or even daily to get something fixed. And if you DO decide to purchase from them REALLY really watch the paper work.. or you'll be taken for sure. Everything we had special ordered, that is 'paid extra' for was accidently left out of the paper work and if I hadn't caught it at the time of signing we wouldn't have even gotten the house we ordered.

We have warned all our friends looking to buy a home NOT to go to Home-Mart. We bought our from them and have had nothing but disapointments every since. Starting with the night of signing. If you do decide to get something from them really watch the paper work! They will 'forget' to put things in that you are being charged for like extra support for ceiling fans, hook ups for diswasher... But you will still be charged! They also do not follow up to make sure repairs have been made to the home after it was delivered and set up.
