I have had several procedures done at this hospital, as have some family members, and I have experienced only excellent facilities and care by staff.

3/3/12 Brought girlfriend to e...

3/3/12 Brought girlfriend to emergency room waited three hours in room.

Had to ask for a pillow there response was there hard to come by if we have them? Thought this was a modern hospital?? Doctor came in once never came back!!

At 8:30 we walked out!! Never received a call or anything from them!!

You would be better off going some where else!!!

I have had better service at a after hours clinic than at this hospital!!

Ask for the 6th floor

If you can be a patient on the 6th floor - not a problem. But if you are a patient on the 4th or 5th floor - be prepared to be surrounded with a dirty smelly nursing home atmosphere.

Southcrest used to be clean and organized. Recently I was visiting a patient on the 4th floor and frankly I am very disappointed. The floors were dirty, there was broken down equipment in the hallways, there was clutter on every space in hallways, and the smell was very strong. It reminded me of a nursing home owned by out of state owners. One year ago, this same floor was clean and order free.

I visited a different patient on the 6th floor and found it to be clean and order free. I guess there is a different manager on the two floors and it shows. I acccidently got off the elevator on the 5th floor once and it looked almost as bad as the 4th floor. I think that if they can't keep the building clean - how can they keep the patients from getting infections? Also, it is depressing to be confined in a dirty smelly environment. Just a thought?

dirty place

Beware of this hospital. I had surgery there and caught a terrible infection that still haunts me after 6 months. It is not clean and the staff didn't wash their hands before touching my IV. They were also very rude when I told them about.
