Hawthorne Elementary School enrolls more than 390 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers a variety of educational programs for the intellectual, physical, social, spiritual and emotional development of students. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, language arts, social studies, art, science, physical education and music. It also offers special education programs for students with special needs. The school runs gifted and talented education, science enrichment, peer mediation, after-school care, mentoring and SRA reading programs. It involves students in several extracurricular activities, such as student council, safety patrol, band, choir, and chess, global studies and library clubs.
