I was in a great deal of physical pain upon arriving at the office. Admittedly, I was feeling a little grouchy due to the pain, but I did nothing to deserve the condescending and impatient attitude with which I was treated the entire time I was there. It was almost like he was mad at me for being there - a lot of eye-rolling, indignant momentary glaring, and then shaking his head. It was very flustering and confusing for me. He came to a question about my childhood and I simply and calmly asked the relation of the question to the evaluation and he, very rudely, practically yelled that if the question wasn't necessary, he wouldn't be asking it. Calmly, I asked if there was something wrong with my asking that question and he, ever so rudely, answered the question. I asked him if he felt like his demeanor and bedside manner were welcoming and inviting? He said that he does these all the time. I informed him that I definitely didn't think so. He then suggested that I just have another therapist do the evaluation. So I said that sounded like a good idea, stood up and left.
