We had a terrible experience with Chuck Ney Enterprises this past year--I would stay as far away from this company as possible. We had contacted them to do an engine overhaul which, over the course of 7 months, they never completed, and our experience with them was plagued by essentially zero communication, excuses, outright lies, and theft. They never called, ever, despite our attempting to contact them multiple times per day for the majority of this fiasco, and the few times we received text messages they only contained empty promises about calling us at a later time, etc. Two months into the ordeal we were told the engine was on the test stand and being run...we were then told to send the freight truck to pick it up, with a specific pickup time chosen BY ROBERT HIMSELF based his availability. When the freight company arrived, the driver was told there was no engine to be shipped, and that they had no idea why the truck was there. After that we were able to determine that the engine wasn't even at the shop, but rather at Robert's house (which is not an authorized repair station per the FAA). We finally had to involve the local police department, and were able to go to the shop and pick up our engine (Robert begged to get to finish the job, even though he had told us two weeks prior that, once again, everything was complete and the engine was running). The mags are still missing, as are the logbooks...they also installed the wrong crankshaft into the supposedly repaired engine. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT use this company..and definitely do not send them any money if you have already used them until you get your stuff back and have a signed log entry in hand! We spent $12,500 plus freight fees and a rental van to get them to clean our engine case and steal our magnetos and logbook. Feel free to contact us at 203-267-6017 if you would like any more information. Also, ignore any reviews written by Robert Mathews, as he is the owner of the company!

Do not do business with this company. I sent them my crankcase and accessory case back in Feb, 2016 3 months later in May I get called by them saying my parts are done and to please pay. I paid them over $1,000 for the repairs as of July I still do not have my crankcase. They refuse to answer the phone, e-mails, txts or the messages I leave. They have had my case not for 6 months. I am now taking them to court to try and get my case back. Be warned this company is dishonest.
