Dr. Blackmon fixed my rotator cuff and I could not be more pleased with the entire procedure, he kept me out of pain with the nerve block; if you have this surgery take the block it is so worth it. The block is optional but keeps your arm numb like when the dentist numbs your tooth but last the first 24 hours which is the worst time after any surgery. He kept me comfortable and did a great repair even giving me before and after pictures of my shoulder repair. Any bad review I read about him prior to my surgery said they were frustrated by the long wait to be seen, but remember if he is behind it is because he is taking the time to talk to his patients, as he did me. He even game by the morning of surgery spent time talking to me and explaining the nerve block option and answering my questions. He was worth the waiting room wait, which yes sometimes was long. But I would use him again without anytime. I have had several different surgeries and this one was done right before Christmas and I was able to enjoy it with my family.
