I do not recommend this place

I had a terrible experience with this gym staff. My sister came to visit me for a couple weeks and I wanted her to go to the gym with me. So before she arrived I talk with one manager and he told me she could go as a guest. When my sister arrived there nother manager told me she couldnt get in. She was humiliated and so did I. I offer to pay for her to go and came back the next day with my wallet. The manager then said I didnt need to pay anymore. But what a surprise...few days later she was not allowed to get in the gym AGAIN. Some other person said she couldnt get in. I just can not believe how a place can have so many different manager and each one say a different think to the customer. Ridiculous management. I will never come back there and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone I know.

NOT A SAFE PLACE TO WORK OUT

One of the main reasons that I chose this gym(Eton Square in Tulsa) was safety. The sales rep pointed to the cameras and said that everyone coming in and out of the gym would be on video. I didn't realize that I would need these videos until one night, my wife and I worked out here and someone used some bolt cutters to cut through my lock in the lockerroom. The thieves got away with some of my belongings.

It was around 10:30pm when the burglary occurred and I had the staff call the general manager. They were unable to reach him. I asked for an immediate callback and I then called the police. The police took a report and asked for copies of the videos from the security cameras. The staff members behind the front desk said that they were not allowed to pull those videos and that they did not have a key to get in the video room.

I called back at around 11am the next day and asked for the general manager, but he was training somebody. They told me he would call me back after he was done with his client. He did within an hour or so and I asked him why he had not called me back the previous evening. He stated that he had a life too and once he left the gym, he would not take business calls. Please keep in mind that this is a 24 hour facility. I asked him why he did not call me back early in the morning and he said that he had other responsibilities. I asked him for copies of the videos to turn over to the police and he stated that he was not a security specialist and that he did not know how to obtain the videos. The manager said that he would try to find out how to get these videos and I never heard back from him. I later had my attorneys send a letter asking for reimbursement of my lost belongings and their attorneys labeled the incident as an "alleged burglary." Realizing that the customer service here was non-existent, I chose to never use the lockerrooms again and when I found a decent offer from another gym, I terminated my membership with Aspen.

Bottom line is that the general manager of the Eton Square club, who is presently still listed as such on their website, does not have a manager in charge at all times that the gym is open (which is 24 hours). The video cameras placed in the front are nice, but nobody in the gym knows how to get these videos when needed. There are video cameras placed in the front when you enter, but behind the lockerrooms, just down the hall from the women's weight room, there is a door with no alarm and no camera to view anyone entering. This door cannot be opened from outside, but should a person open this door from the inside, anyone can enter without notice and walk right into the women's weight room. I continuously asked the general manager if he would address this concern as my wife used the women's weight room. He would always try to misinterpret my request as one to have cameras place in the lockerrooms and explain that this could not be allowed. I never requested this, and I feel that this was his effort to disregard the enforcement of safety for the women in the women's weight room.

It has been almost 6 months since I have worked out at Eton Square, but should you be considering a membership with this gym at Eton Square, I would recommend that you ask who has the power to obtain these security videos if ever needed. How long will it take to obtain these videos. I would recommend that you ask if a manager can be reached at anytime the gym is open for business. I would also recommend that you tour the back of the gym behind the lockerrooms. Just to the west of the cycling room and the women's weight room, there is a door (A double door I believe) that has no camera on it and no alarm system sounds if you open it. Ask if you may open it from the inside to check. Perhaps, over the last six months this issue has been addressed, but from my experience with the general manager, I would check to be certain.
