Crappy Customer Service

The selection of plants here is amazing, and thats what I like about it. That being said, Ive had issues with the customer service. Last time I was here I had to wait forever in line because the cashier went and stood around for a few minutes not really doing anything, and then when I finally got up to the register, the cashier was rude and you could tell he didnt want to be there. Because of this, I will not be returning

No warranty on plants

Bought over $1000 worth of plants, mainly roses. 2 of the 3 varieties I bought did well but the third variety was very suspect. 5 of the 6 Barbara Streisand roses had white mossy coating on them and died within 3 weeks. The other 12 did great in same soul so issue not on my end but with bad plants provided by Mesquite. Called to complain and basically was told too bad, my bad luck. I can safely say that if Mesquite thinks so highly of their plants then have a warranty if they happen not to be as great as they say. I can safely say that based on their indifference to my circumstances of getting bad roses from them, I will not be back. Too bad Mesquite could not have backed up their products and provided better customer service. I guess all buyers should be aware that even if Mesquite sells you a bad plant, too bad it is on you not them!! Not at all a happy customer.

This is the most unfriendly business I've been to in Tucson. The scraggly gray haired woman is just mean. Not much for customer service either!

we can get lost for hours wondering around Mesquite. The staff is VERY friendly as well as knowledgeable about every plant they have in stock. You can see the quality and care at this nursery, and even though it is huge, you can always find someone to help you if you need it.

most diverse selection in southern Arizona

I have been a landscaper for 35 years. This place knows plants and carries more varieties than anywhere in this part of the state. As I often plant non standard choices this is the place to find the beautiful and unusual. Not the cheapest but the best. They will always be most busy between 9-10am so avoid that time if you want personal service.I personally have never heard a harsh word here.

The Best

There are a lot of places to buy garden products. There is no place better for selection of plants than this nursery!! I have lived in Arizona all My life. There is no knowledge better than experience. Many plants do not perform well in our climate and soil conditions, plant tags do not mean anything the plant growers after all are wanting to sell plants! If I can give any advice it would be to expand your knowledge by contacting a garden club, or better yet contact somebody who knows what the are doing. These people are easy to find, look around at the yards which look GREAT!, these people love to HELP because what You are going through they have been there!! They and I have wasted many dollars before we found out what does best hear. DO NOT PLAIM THE PLACES WHERE YOU BUY FROM! SOME TIMES THEY NO LESS THAN YOU!!To be a GREAT GARDENER learn about soil conditions and weather for the SOUTH WEST!! I know it hurts to see a plant die when we have spent OUR hard money on. I've been thee many times before I tied to understand what I was doing wrong!!!! And you know what I still make mistakes because My heart wants this even when I know It's not going to work!My Best advice is to lean and learn and You to will be a GREAT Gardener!!PLEASE DO NOT BLAIM THE PEOPLE YOU BUY FROM, be better than that be a PRO!! If we did not have options other than Lowes or Home depot where would we be!!!I now this a long review but I get soooo upset hen we blame the people we buy from..... Signed STILL LEARNING!!!!

Visit to Mezquite Valley Growers

I just went today ,to M.V.Growers.To much advertising on radio ,like a really good place,-They do have beauifull plants and stuffs, but not good service. I called the day before and I asked specific for one tree(Golden Arborvitae) A girl gaved me a price..$ 35 to . $ 40,00 depending the size.. 4 to 4 and a half Ft.tall..After I drove almost an hour to get there..they do not have it,;what they have is a Dwarf Shrub not a tree. I was really disappointed,I asked for a small discount or so(because the inconvenence) they said no and they were really rude / I am not going back there and I do not recomend this place/ They do not even offer warranty for their trees or plants .-

Rude Customer Service

The owner herself shouted obscenities at me over the phone because of a miscommunication. She called me a "prickly pear", and treated me as if I were a child. She mocked me and then released an "f" bomb towards me. She portrayed herself as uneducated, rude and unimpressive. The owner has zero customer service skills. I can’t believe a business owner would use such words with a customer. This exhibit of unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated. There are so many other nurseries where one can buy plants. I will never recommend Mesquite Valley Growers to anyone I know. I will only tell of the awful way I was treated by the owner.
