Mama's Famous Pizza & Heros is a owned and operated by the Spina family of Tucson, AZ. Founded in 1979, it was a vision created out of a desire for two brothers, Joe and Vinnie to be able to live close to their retiring parents who recently had moved from New York to Arizona. Growing up, the kitchen and the dinner table was the gathering place for the family, the place where they traded stories of their day, feasted on large portions of homemade food, and listened to the lessons taught by their parents, affectionately referred to as "Mom and Pop" by all their friends. They envisioned a place where families could come and dine in the traditional style of the Italian family. A place that felt like home, a place where everyone felt welcome. Using recipes cultivated throughout many generations, the brothers taught themselves how to make pizza and how to build and operate a restaurant. Today we have four locations, all serving freshly made Italian food, pizzas, pastas, salads, heros, appetizers, and desserts, including our homemade cheesecake, formulated after months of experimenting and testing in their home kitchen way back in 1978. We offer all food for dine in, carry out, or delivery. Each location has inside and outside dining. All serve a variety of wine and beer in addition to non alcoholic beverages.Mama's Famous Pizza & Heros is a owned and operated by the Spina family of Tucson, AZ.
