Ron at D & H Air Conditioning & Heating was helpful on the phone and prompt, informative, and knowledgable in person. Even though the news he had to give me wasn't good, I believe he was truthful and helpful.

Our A/C went out over Labor Day weekend and I called 5 different A/C companies in town. Only one, D&H could make a same day service call. Unfortunately, our 22 year old A/C unit died...so we had to replace it. While it may not have been the least expensive A/C company out there, I found their sales and installation team to be very professional and courteous and their follow-up was exceptional. They got me the best A/C unit for my home and my budget, and they got it for me at a great price. D&H has honest, reliable service at a fair price...and that is all anyone could ask for,

I have a D&H Guardian Maintenance Agreement and it's the best thing I ever did. I don't worry about my AC even on the hottest days. If i call them with a problem I know they will be there in a few hours.



Now I know why they have been around since 1959,

That my experience was a pleasant one.. From the great Customer Service.. to the quick response to my needs. The Tech was very helpful in explaining what would make my unit work more efficiently. The price was reasonable and the entire experience was a great one. I would highly reccomend D and H.

This letter is intended tell a story about my experience in dealing with D and H Air Conditioning and Heating, and hopefully help YOU not make the same mistake as I did. It has been the worst experience in quality, customer service and incompetence. They lie, have no integrity and have bad service. All they care about is your money, and the reason I chose to have them install my new A/C system is because of their guarantees and my history of positive experiences with the present owners’ grandfather.

They sized the system based on the square footage of my home, and as I later found out is not the correct sizing method. D and H over sized my system by 30+%. After the installation, the summer humidity levels in my home got up to 66% and warped my laminate wood floors. There was equipment failure within the first 6 months. There was a mess left behind with insulation and drywall dust all over. The return duct was not properly connected which caused dirty, dusty attic air to be sucked into the ventilation system and into my home. After all this, My wife and I decided to use the “100% money back guarantee” that D and H offers (in writing), which consists of having them remove the system and refund our money. They refused! D and H guarantees are a lie, used as a tactic to get you to buy from them but they will not honor it. They have been to our house 22 times in the last 3 years. I have Complained to the Register of Contractors and still the problems have not been resolved.

D and H sent someone from their company to run a “heat load calculation” to ensure proper sizing, and said the 4 ton was in fact the right size. They also told me that i am required to keep my house at 71 degrees to remove proper humidity. My wife and I are comfortable at 79 degrees, telling me to keep it at 71 degrees is outrageous. I found another company called Trusted Heating and Cooling and asked them to run a heat load calculation on my home. They informed me that to keep my house at 75 degrees and achieve proper dehumidification, I only need a 3 ton Lennox not a 4 ton. The over sizing of my equipment caused my humidity level of 66%, to warp my wooden floors, and swell the doors causing them to stick. They also provided me with documentation from Lennox, ACCA and the U.S. Department of Energy to show the importance of proper sizing. Trusted spent an hour and a half at my house and did all this at no charge. They have been great! I also found out that the person D and H sent to run the heat load calculation, falsified his analysis to make the size say what they had already installed.

If you are thinking about doing business with D and H, DONT! The Grandfather definitely did not pass on his integrity, quality, and customer service.

D & H installed my a/c and heater on my roof. The unit failed and they had a guy out to trouble shoot within hours.



Then, 2 years later, my roof sprung a leak where the ductwork is, and they came out and fixed that too. They also showed me how to adjust the cooler, and replaced my filters, and other extra customer service efforts.



They do everything they can to make customers happy.
