I purchased the variable speed pump from this company in May 2013, with a one year warranty. In April 2014 the pump began to fail. I contacted the company via telephone several times. On 2 occasions they promised to come out, gave time and date, and never showed and no call to notify about no show or to make other arrangements. Follow up phone calls went unanswered. I would definitely never recommend this company based on their very poor customer service. How does a company like this, with so many negative reviews, stay in business???

BEWARE My neighbor used their service, they blocked my car in my driveway with their company van. I snapped a photo and went to the website on the van. I emailed the photo and alerted them their company truck was blocking my car, also included my address so they could locate the driver. I received a reply first saying, get real LOL. I replied back is this your customer service? I need to leave a review about your lack of customer service. Then american pool supply emailed back that they would post 1000's of fake ads on craigslist and send people to my home for free stuff. My email was sent through their website to the email listed and that reply came from American pool supply. BEWARE of a company that threatens to do such a thing, in writing. I found the email to be very threatening and shows exactly what kind of company this is. Very unprofessional, horrible customer service. I thought they would be interested in knowing they were blocking a residential driveway. I assumed an apology and they would make sure the driver knew not to do it. Instead I get a threat of sending 100's of strangers to my home for free stuff. That is just plain evil. Again BEWARE of using a business that threatens people in emails and isn't even worried about consequences. In my opinion this is a dangerous business to do business with. I left my number on the voicemail hours ago to hear back. I guess the threat to me was all they cared about making sure I got.

Worst pool service I ever experienced! His initial quote and conversation went out the window after about a couple of weeks. We signed on for him to do our cleaning and chemicals at $85/week plus additional for chemicals. He never gave us an invoice for chemicals after the first month but was putting two chlorine tablets in a flotation device in our pool weekly. ONCE, a new guy put liquid chlorine in to try to shock it after testing it. He went through employees regularly, we constantly had new pool cleaners who were always quick to tell us their new status and lack of pool cleaning experience. It got to a point where they were just coming, skimming leaves on the top, throwing two tablets in the flotation device, and kicking my Kreepy Krawler on and leaving. I mentioned for weeks straight that our Kreeper was only working for a couple of hours after they left and then wouldn't work the rest of the week, an obvious sign of an issue. I mentioned that our pump was leaking, again another sign of an issue. They just said they'd "tell the boss" in which I never received a response. Never received invoices to pay them, made phone calls that were never returned, he charged me $75 to clean our filter ONE MONTH after it was replaced, then again in two more months? I told him I thought that was included, in which he replied no so I told him I would just do that myself. It became very evident that my pool was being severly neglected so I gave my 30 day notice. That week my pool started turning green. He had an employee knock on my door and offer to clean my filter for free if I'd consider keeping them for pool service. I told him No, I just wasn't satisfied anymore and that my pool was green and I needed it fixed and cleaned properly in which he replied that he would tell his boss. I expected the boss to come, give me an estimate and fix it. NOPE! I called the boss, went back to the pool area, did the usual; two chlorine tablets, skim of the top, didn't even attempt to get my Kreepy working, and left! I called for new services to come give me estimates and every single one was appauled at what the levels were at and the condition of the pool. They were mortified, as was I, that I was paying somebody monthly to maintain my pool on a weekly service basis and that they allowed it to get that bad and ignore some obvious signs of issues. My filter needed to be replaced, an o-ring needed to be replaced, there was a crack in the pump, and it took a couple of weeks of my new pool guy coming by a couple times a week and adding chemicals to finally get my pool back to normal. Whatever you do, do not trust this company as a pool service, there's no communication, a lack of qualified workers, and you'll pay more in the end for their negligence.

"Bad Experience" with this company -- "Tucson Public Beware". The pool tech, Michael, ruined our pool and we paid heavily for the damages. We resisted for many months on posting our experience but, after reading the many reviews it seems to be a re-occurrence. My husband found the company is NOT properly licensed as they claim. They do not have insurance and we found no evidence that they have a business license either. They ruined our pool and would not return to fix the damage after being paid a lot of money. The owner is very argumentative and full of threats, as the other review states. Please, beware. We've lost our patience and our hard earned money with this company...

This is an incompetent and dishonest business and should be avoided. I had a similar experience to others. Ordered a part, was told the order was "lost" and would be delivered overnight. That was several months ago and still no refund in spite of repeated phone calls and emails. American Pool Pump & Products is nothing but a scam company in my opinion and is likely to cheat you and steal your money. They have a BBB rating of 'F' and it's well deserved.

Beware. Owner has a temper.



Service contract not honored -- billed for weeks service not done. While away, 3 weeks out of 6 no service was performed.



When confronted (after 3 weeks of unanswered phone calls and emails), response was first excuses for missing work. When I responded that this doesn't cure the abandonment/breach of contract and total loss of trust, threats like "pay my bill (including 20%+ late charge) or I'll send it to collections.



Not only was service not performed but this business has no sense of Customer Service.

I found this business on line to do some pool pump repairs at my vacation home in Tucson AZ after the winter freeze (in AZ -can you believe it). This young man was up front with what the costs were going to be and what sould be done to protect my property investment from this happening again. He did a very professional job, so I contracted him to keep monthly pool maintenace. I have guest visit my home year round and have had no complaints about the pool.

This was a great choice, never thought i can get the part that i needed this was the only site the had everything i needed. BOOK MARK THIS SITE THEY HAVE LITTLE PARTS THAT YOU CANT FIND ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

I am extremely disappointed with American Pool Pump & Products. The communication was terrible. I paid for my order and never received it after he told me it was shipped. However, no tracking number could be provided. I went through many, many headaches (going out of my way, making many phone calls, etc...) trying to help this company get my order to me. American Pool Pump & Products was a complete failure. I highly recommend no one order online from this company. Mike will jerk you around just as I was jerked around. I actually read the review to "Beware" before I placed my order, and I thought I would give this company a chance. I can honestly say to BEWARE of this company!! Beware was spot on! I also wish I could give a zero star rating!! I will take heed next time with other reviews in the future..

Beware! American pool pumps came to replace a valve and install new plumbing. He left it leaking and would not come back to fix it. He was scheduled to come by and fix it, but never showed. I think he was just waiting for my check to clear! He wont return phone calls and wont come back to fix it! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Too bad I can't give NO stars!

had a cartrige filter that was giving me probs. always spraying off . they put in a sand filter which was easy to backwash instead. i had a few different quotes. but they seemed to be the cheapest for the quality everthing was sharp. way cheaper then patio and leslie.
