I hired this company for a roof rebuild. David White (owner) was recommended as as framer by a company called The Roof Lady. He seemed competent and trustworthy. A few weeks into the project he had already asked me to pay him all but the 10 percent to be held until projects end. He had failed to complete much of the work outlined in our contract. The work he did do was haphazard. As I began to question him his response was to attack me personally in very odd ways. A year and a half after the start of the project he still had not completed the work. A new and very damaging leak occurred where he had failed to merge his new roof structure with the old one. He continued to refuse to correct or finish the work. He made many excuses, failed promises and insults. I finally gave up and created an addendum stating that he would be relieved of his obligations and I would not pay him the final 10 percent. To say that his work was sub par and he is unprofessional is a kindness. There is no way to express the difficulty of having paid someone thousands of dollars for unfinished work, to be left with an unsafe house and water streaming down walls for over a year. Please avoid this company
