The Gibson Electric Membership Corporation is an electric cooperative owned by its customers. The corporation covers a six-county service area in west Tennessee that stretches from north Madison County to the Kentucky line, from Gibson County to the Mississippi River. It maintains more than 3,000 miles of electric line and more than 33,000 meters in the Tennessee counties of Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Lake, Madison and Obion. The cooperation provides residential, new service and new construction services and offers the ability to pay bills online. The Gibson Electric Membership Corporation maintains its corporate office in Trenton, Tenn., and has customer service centers in the Tennessee cities of Alamo, Tiptonville, Trenton and Troy.
