Horrible place! Never before had I been spoken to like I was a flippin’ idiot! They nickle and dime you for everything and if you have a camper with a bathroom in it you are not allowed to use the facilities! Please report rude Judy to Sams Club all the horrible reviews do not surpise me because my family and I had the same rude 2 people and filthy conditions to deal with.

In order for patrons to gain a full, honest understanding of this campground, please read all reviews that are 3 stars or less. They may sound belligerent and exaggerated, but I assure you that the reviews of 3 stars or less are brutally accurate. The cons outweigh the pros immensely. Please read this review further because my story tops all. The facts are as follows:

Pete (owner) switched over our water lines to their winterized lines without our knowledge or permission. 5.5 hours later, the trailer flooded, and was later deemed a total loss by insurance. Note that this trailer was a 6 week old Denali 287RE Travel Trailer (very nice). The reason the trailer flooded (noted by a non-biased third party/RV Shop) was because the campground turned the water supply on that served the sani-flush in the black tank. [They should not (EVER) touch someone else’s property, let alone do so without knowledge of what they are tampering with.] The black tank filled up in a maximum time of 45 minutes and pressurized the tank to the point of breaking the seal of the toilet p-valve (flusher). Thus, allowing black water to back flow through the toilet bowl for 5.5 hours, destroying everything touching the floor. They denied it and changed their story 3 (three) times. [First-they did not touch anything. Second-they only switched the lines and turned one line on (not the sani-flush line). Three-they switched over both lines and turned on both water supplies, but the trailer was leaking before they did so.] I took them to court to gain back expenses caused by their carelessness. Turns out lying under oath is no problem for them (and the Judge is corrupt. The Judge stated after 4 minutes of court commencement, that I “would not like his ruling, but to continue”. I hadn’t even begun my explanation before the court had its mind made up.)

Please note that Pete and Judy (owners) have zero: accountability; Integrity; and respect; and have minimal: Intelligence; fair pricing; and tenants. You WILL be on their time; at their convenience; and nothing more. You WILL be yelled at. You WILL be scolded. You WILL be called names and cursed at. You WILL not feel welcome. You WILL pay extra for everything. You WILL have confusion and disorganization by the campground. You WILL have your personal belongings at risk for tampering by the campground. You WILL have bugs flying up from their holding tank into your black and gray tanks (and making it in to your trailer from each of the drains). You WILL NOT have TV channels through your antennae. You WILL NOT have a strong WIFI connection. You WILL have consequences if there are leaves left on your site (No joke. Judy said in court that I left my site ‘trashed’ with litter, wood, and leaves. Luckily I had pictures of the electrical meter, and the CLEAN site after I moved off the premises, minus the leaves being cleaned up.). You WILL NOT be having intelligent conversations with Pete or Judy (owners). You WILL NOT have very many trailers around you, as word of mouth travels and people have grown to understand how terrible this place can be, and no longer stay there. You WILL be told one thing, and then find that information to not be true (they do not say what they mean, and mean what they say). You WILL be left out in the rain (literally) alone to choose/find your campsite, because it is not convenient for Judy to show you around when it is raining (you are on your own!). You WILL have muddy grounds to walk on every inch of grass if it rains for over 2 minutes.

This information is purely factual from my personal experience, and is set in place to educate fellow campers out there.

If you look at the name on the one review. It is the owner's sister. The owner of ( hell Valley ) as it is called now is named Judy Finch. The one good review is from Dot Finch her sister!! The reviews that state how horrible the owner's are. Those reviews are 100% true. I know first hand. I had been on chemo and radition for a few months and the owner's husband ( Pete ) yelled at me and said that I wasn't that sick. All because I had worked for them and when I became ill and started treatment and could not work, they got mad and said really bad things about me. For some reason they did not think I would be told about the childish things they would say about me. They also talked bad about my son who unfortunately contracted Lymes disease and was homebound from school due to numerous ailments from the Lymes disease. Yes my son would go outside for about an hour a day. Per Drs. order's and the owner's were constantly saying how he needed to be in school. Hello!! His teacher was there 5 days a week to school my son. They are the kind of people who will help you out with stuff. HOWEVER! They then expect you to give back 110%!! Then they constantly say all the time about how they helped different individuals. And how they felt anyone they helped owed them daily no matter the situation. So when I first arrived there they were very nice. LOL What a joke. As I found. out. So they had offered to help me get another vehicle and as soon as they did. It was all about how they helped me and how it was a ( Golden Opportunity ) As if they are saints. So they had me working like crazy including nasty flood water with sewer that I found out later that was in the water. So 3 months after they ( helped ) me purchase the vehicle I paid them off with my tax return. And of course that upset them because they weren't going to get all the interest they were banking on. There are so many people they have wronged by acting like such good people. They over charge almost everyone. Especially the groups from Rausch Creek and the Canadians. Yes they complain all the time about both. It is an absolutely horrible place to be no matter how pretty it looks. I did stay working there so I could provide for my children. I did however have a second job. But parents will do what they have to for their children. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! Very MEAN OWNER'S!!!!! I would give them a minus star if possible.

"WARNING" THIS IS THE WORLDS WORST CAMPGROUND. THE OWNERS GOT REALLY RUDE TO US WHEN WE LEFT. ALL THE OWNERS DID WAS YELLED AT ME AND MY HUSBAND. THE OWNERS HUSBAND CUT MY HUSBANDS TIRES ON OUR MOTOR HOME. WHEN IT WAS REALLY BAD WEATHER THEY DIDNT TAKE CARE OF THE PARKING LOT. I FELL AND SLIPPED ON ICE AND I WENT DOWN HARD ENOUGH THAT I HAD A MISCARRIAGE AND I WAS IN PAIN FOR TWO WEEKS OR MORE. THEY WERE RUDE TO US THE WHOLE TIME THAT WE WERE THERE. THE OWNERS WERE CALLING ME AND MY HUSBAND EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK THAT U COULD THINK OF. THEY WERE TALOUGHING MY HUSBAND OF BEING A MARINE AND THE OWNER WAS TRYING TO PICK A FIGHT AND HE WANTED TO GET MY HUSBAND TO HIT HIM. MY HUSBAND IS A 21 YRS MARINE CORP VET. MY HUSBAND IS A BETTER MAN THAN HIM. THE OWNER GOT UP IN MY HUSBANDS FACE. TO ME THEY SHOULDNT BE GETTING IN SOMEONES FACE. I WAS ALREADY UNDER STRESS AND THEY WERE YELLING AT ME FOR NO REASON AND IT WAS SOO BAD THAT MY HEART WAS RACING REALLY BAD. ATTENTION ALL GAS DRILLERS AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAEG . THEY WERE CHARGING US DOUBLE THE PRICE FOR PROPANE. THERE ARE ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT ARE LIVING THERE THAT CANT GET OUT. IF U DONT BELIEVE ME THAN U COULD ASK THE BUSINESSES AROUND TOWN. THEY R NOT GOOD SAMS FOUR STAR RATING NO MORE. ASK TO LOOK AT THERE LICENSE ITS OUT DATED. ITS THREE YRS OUT DATED. I WILL SEE THAT THEY WONT GET A RATED BECUZ I AM A GOOD SAMS MEMBER AND THE MEMBERS R THE ONES THAT GETS THE RATINGS FOR THE CAMPGROUNDS.

As bad as it can get!!!! These people are the RUDEST people you have ever met. The campground is run down with old condemned empty trailers. The bathrooms and showers smell and are the dirtiest I have ever seen. I don't think they were cleaned once during our stay. All the owners did was yell our entire stay. They feel entirely annoyed if you ask for pool entrance, which is ridiculously priced and you get locked in and recharged everytime you leave to use restroom, if you ask to buy wood, watch out that sets them off when you want to buy their wet wood, and when you ask why the wifi you paid for doesn't work your entire stay really turn them into the devil. And when you go to leave and ask for your deposit they simple yell and tell you NO...your trailer tires made a mark in the gravel in their terribly small site while pulling out in between to condemned trailers in an empty campground. People run while you can !!!!! This is by FAR the worst experience we have EVER had !!!!!

Echo Valley Campground is a beautiful campground that Woodalls has rated 4-star. This doesn't come easy. We certainly don't have any "condemned" trailers. We accept campers that are 10-years or newer. We do keep the pool locked to prevent a child from drowning. We gladly open it as many times as you need & it is free for all of our campers. Our bathrooms are cleaned at least three times a day. We give a free one-hour WiFi to all our full service sites upon check in. We do all in our power to keep the place as nice as it is and hope that we have happy campers. We are sorry that your experience here was not a good one.

My wife and I visit Echo Valle...

My wife and I visit Echo Valley Campground at least twice a year on our way to and from Florida. This facility is only a mile off of Interstate 81 and they have great pull-thru sites with water, sewer, electric, cable and WiFi with 30 and 50 amp service. I can't ask for more than this.

Great weekend retreat

I have visited this campground many times and really enjoy it. They have a very nice pool and outdoor theater. I also like the rec hall done in the 50's and the parties held there. This is a great campground.
