I had prostate surgery on 4-11-2022, I could not have asked for better care, The doctors and nursing staff at St.Francis Campus are very caring and professional. Thank you so much, John H. Morgan

he labs there suck! I have never stayed over an hour to nearly an hour and a half to get blood drawn. I am switching my labs to stormont Vail.

Sad thing is I work for this company. But I'm pretty much done with their lack of moral.

Dr Coffman in the ER was a total jerk to my husband and I. We brought our 25 day old son in because he had choked on his vomit and turned white and stopped breathing for a while, his eyes were rolling back into his head etc. He had calmed down a lot by the time we got to ER, but we wanted him checked for fluid in his lungs or anything that could be serious. He treated us like stupid incompetant parents. And then proceeded to ask us retorical questions about his breathing and size of his stomach just to be a jerk and make us feel stupid. Then told me I'm burping him wrong and feeding him wrong and to keep a hat on him at all times even in 100 degree weather. I am soooooo mad. We were not treated properly at all!!!! I refuse to ever let my son or family be seen by him ever again! May not even return to St Francis ever again!

Worst experience of my life. The initial negligent care lead to a life threatening bone infection.Denied any specialty care and then they abandoned my care. This Worst patient care I have ever seen. I wouldn't allow a stray dog to be treated by this hospital. They admitted the wrongful conduct but refuse to provide any compensation for their negligence. Medical records were destroyed Moved to AZ fearing for my life and they still refuse to release medical records for continuation of care. Scandalous criminal conduct buyer beware

During my visit to Kansas I cut my thumb and required stitches. Going to the hospital was a must as it was 11:30 at night and I was losing blood. What ended up happening was I sat in an almost empty waiting room in the ER then when I finally got a room I was still there for another hour. Told I was stupid and that I don't know what I'm talking about. THE NURSE not the doctor told me that it was only skin that was cut. But I cut well through skin. My wife who was a CNA at the time could have diagnosed better. Then the same nurse that said that shoved a needle into the wound and caused my finger to swell up with how much numbing solution he put in. Then THE NURSE stitched my finger. (Should have been a doctor) and only gave external stitches. I needed internal stitches too. Now they are trying to charge me for coming into the ER between certain hours (extra night charge) for pain killers (I never received) and for seeing a doctor(I never saw) so that whole place is a joke and I would rather die than go back there

My daughter and I had a terrible experience by intake staff in the ER. No compassion. My daughter was treated like a drug seeker. She was seriously ill and ended up in ICU with sepsis. I've had no resolution from ER intake staff after reporting our experience to the patient rep. I will, however, say the ICU staff and Medical floor were outstanding (much different from ER intake).

Bad ER

I went into the ER after seeing a doctor and Express Care and was told that I needed IV fluids. When I got there was rushed into a room told to not sit on the bed and was then ignored. When the doctor came in didnt touch me or run any tests said I was faking the flu and pregnancy and told me I needed to get out of his ER after I stated he wasnt listening to me. Needless to say I am never going back!

The nurse on the maternity floor are the most amazing people! I have had all 4 of my kids there and the nurses always treat me with such respect and care. From the moment I get there to the moment I leave. I was there recently 3/29/13 for the pre planned c-section and again I was not let done. The first 2 nurses I had were Brianne and Rita and they were awesome! I also had Jennie the anesthesiologist come and reassure me before the surgery Which was Very kind of her. During the procedure Jennie took great care of me because she made me feel comfortable even when I started getting sick on the table. Afterwards I remember having several nurses and nurse assistants making me feel like no request of mine was to much. Ana was so sweet when she did my vitals. My last overnight I remember having nurse Tammy and she was so outgoing and compassionate, i remember having Sam many times as well. So aweet and kind.. I also was lucky enough to have Brianne on my last day there. Which was nice...my first smiling face and my last one too. Even though I had so many amazing nurses and assistants over 3 days that I remember their names there were many that came in the middle of the night so I'm sorry I didn't name them. I just happen to remember the ones I named because they made such an impression on me. I can't thank these ladies enough for making another experience so great. To me these ladies are priceless!

I was misdiagnosed by this ho...

I was misdiagnosed by this hospital. They ran a bunch of expensive test and performed them wrong. I was told I had a tumor in my Inferior Vena Cava near my heart. Because of these test they did wrong I almost had to have open heart surgery. If I had not gone to KC they would probably have done the surgery and as dishonest money hungry as they are not told me that I didn't have a tumor....what was wrong with me, well it was a bad gallbladder. Now they are gut punching me with making me pay the bill for their negligence. I think this kind of activity is illegal but am told that because I was not harmed I can do nothing.

I have always been treated well. I have had my mammograms, bone scans and other tests there for years. They are always courteous and respectful for my privacy. I scheduled another bone scan just today.

Please do NOT have a baby at S...

Please do NOT have a baby at St. Francis Hospital. I have had 5 children and was there for the entire prelabor, labor, and delivery of my grandson on 12-22-2011 and Never have I ever seen such incompetent nurses. From the poor attitudes and inpersonable atmosphere to the lack of knowledge and lies to cover up mistakes. One example: They only allowed one person in the room at the time of the epidural, which was the father, my son. They made the birthing mothers mother leave the room. Way to many things to name here but when I asked a question about the contraction monitor not reading contractions I was told I would be escorted out by security. I asked a question and was lied to then threatened to have security take me away on a day that is to be the most special and memorable day of the birth of a son, my grandson, myself and the proud parents had to deal with this in the midst of the mothers excruciating pain of delivery. The pain she constantly complained about was ignored for hours. At the end it was discovered that the epidural had been pulled out of her back because of, once again, nurse incompetence. They told her to "quit complaining" "child birth hurts". I will remind you I have had 5 kids and the twice that I had an epidural I felt no pain. I was Not told it would interfere with my pushing like this mother was told and I most definitely was not told to quit complaining. I feel so bad for her that I felt that I should write a review so that Nobody else has to experience this. Also I also feared for the safe birth of my grandson because they did Not fix the baby's heart monitor when we pointed out that is was not working properly. There was no way they could tell if he was in distress because of the wonky reading. We were told "overall we can see his heartrate is fine." Readings from 80 bpm jumping to 245bpm and all numbers in between. BTW when a different nurse came on duty she did fix it and it did show a real reading and she did notice some distress with a low rate. In the end we have a healthy, beautiful baby boy but I will certainly not recommend this hospital to anyone. I really hope that this helps someone. At least if you decide to go there BEWARE!!

Spine Center

I had major back surgery at St. Francis and then spent almost a week on their spine Center floor. They were awesome from the moment I was checked in to the time I was dismissed. I have another surgery coming up and I will be choosing St. Francis again.
