The weirdest kinds of meat and some of the highest prices... they mark up the prices on healthy things... go to kroger the cashiers are rude too some guy snatched a cart out of my hand a hot mess!!

Just called Kroger, Meijer, Toledo Food Market and asked the price on bananas. They all gave the price. I called Seaway asked the price and was told we don't give prices over the phone! I said you must not need the business! You have no web site to advertise your specials like other stores, I don't get your sale paper delivered and I only live downtown Toledo, and you won't give prices over the phone! Guess you don't want my business and I'll comply! As I was hanging the phone up I heard some form of apology, but at that point an apology wouldn't have mattered. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau also. I can see why the independent stores fold up! Bet if owner of Seaway knew about this some type of action would have been taken.

Fantastic Grocery store!! The employees are always friendly and helpful, and the manager (who seems to always be there) is always involved and making sure the place is clean and running smooth! Ive even seen him bagging groceries and helping people out to their cars with them! They have an excellent selection of seafood and their meat section is always well stocked and looks fantastic!! The butcher (who also seems to always be there) is almost always stocking and taking care of his section, no matter what time of day or night we go there! They almost always have a nice sale going on in their meat section, and even their regular meat prices are usually HALF the price of Krogers meats, especially T-Bones, Strips steaks, ribeyes, and pork! The store is trully a gem!!!

When some items are advertised in the weekly pamphlet left on your residence, please be aware you may not always get the item for the price advertised. For example, a good price on Maxwell House coffee results in that price being good only on the ones that are harder to sell, instead of the better-flavor ones. The best reason to visit the lot at Seaway is to grab some sliders at White Castle.
