I hired Universal Shower and Door Company to install a frameless shower door. Their quote was slightly below a local and reputable company for the same exact door, but I decided to give my business to a neighbor who is just starting out. What a mistake! The day after the installation I called the owner,LJ, back over after I realized he had installed the door incorrectly. It is almost an inch away from being vertical. It not only looks awful, but the seal between the doors cannot function properly. See pictures.

The first response from LJ was denial. “Your tile is crooked”—it is not. “It is supposed to hang that way”—it is not. Finally he admitted he had drilled the mounting holes in the wrong place. There is only one way to fix this and that is to remove it, replace two tiles, and drill the holes in the correct spot. Sadly, Universal Shower and Door Company is apparently not willing to fix this correctly and refuses to answer my calls.
