I tried to make a donation today to the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Thibodaux and was very disappointed in what happened. I unloaded all the bags of donations and had them at the door. I was met by an employee at the door at 12:50 and was told that she could not accept my donations because she was closing for lunch from 1 -2 and it was against company policy to accept donations at that time. I pointed out that it was not yet one and she replied that she was closing anyway because she would reopen 10 minutes before 2. I then had to reload all the bags in my vehicle. It just takes one bad apple to spoil it for everyone. I called the Vietnam Veterans of America and will donate to them from now on. They pick up at my home!!
