I only had to work here for a few months to find out exactly what kind of place this is and the reviews are correct. DO NOT take your children to this place! the management is as lazy as I have ever seen, the teachers are seriously underpaid because the owner is very greedy and only cares about money, and the teachers are expected to do way too much paperwork, etc. which does not allow them time to actually teach the children. they don't really care if they do either. If it takes any extra work to care for the facilities such as mopping the cafeteria floor, they refused to do it. I know because I had to do it after 2 weeks of it not being mopped. the place is disgusting, unclean and very unprofessional. The also refused, after making me leave for disciplining the directors child who is givien double standards on how he should behave and allowed to do anything he wants . they also refused to give me back most of the toys and supplies that I spent my money on for my class & with no reimbursements as promised...so to me the place is run by a thief. And if they say that they use ABC Mouse they're lying to you because they haven't even issued the tablets to the teachers for some strange reason even though they have them supposedly, this place will lie to you through their teeth just to get your money. If you care about what happens to your child do not take them here if you're just going cheap maybe it's just right for you. Otherwise stay away. Trust me, anybody should want more for their children than this place.

Beware of this daycare. I was a teacher here for 2 years. Teachers are treated like crap. No structure in the classes because they can't keep teachers, because they aren't treated right. The owner is cheap. When it comes to making the school better its like talking to a wall. After i quit i left my kids there till i can find a new school for them. After the Director and assistance director left in May it got even worse. Having worked in child care i know what can and can't be done and after i left i saw things that you should never see as a parent or teacher. Kids being Left in the classroom with out a teacher. Kids roaming the hallway with out supervision. As i was dropping my kids off on their last day i mentioned a back door being open in another classroom and a new lady teacher told one of the school kids to go shut the door which meant she has to walk the hallway and into an empty class. told the teacher you can't do that. she said oh its ok she is the directors daughter. You still can't do that. Parents stepping into the classroom to let the teacher go to the restroom since no one at the front would. Its so run down. I feel bad for the kids there.

My children have been with Oakview for several years. Until just recently we have had no problems with the center, aside from one very young teacher.

Just before summer, however, almost the entire upper level staff quit, including the director. The owner has taken over and completely destroyed any decent reputation this daycare has. She cares ZERO for the children and only the money. The new director she has hired is a joke. She is lazy and poorly educated.

The "summer camp" consists of chaotic, poorly planned field trips 3 times a week (that are all extra cost after the weekly tuition!) and when they are at the center they have 30 kids, ages 6-12 jam packed in to a tiny room with NO structured scheduled all day long. There have been several days that they haven't been allowed outside play time. Can you imagine the boredom these children endure, which leads to misbehavior.

I will say that the two teachers responsible for these schoolers are trying incredibly hard to get a schedule in place, age appropriate activities (what 6 year old can understand Monopoly? Most can't even do the math to count the money alone!), and get the library up and running (4 computers, all of which don't work and aren't even plugged in). The only obstacle in their way is the greedy owner who refuses to do anything about it, let alone fix any of the citations given to them by the state! You can just see the frustration and misery on these poor teachers faces. I imagine the new man, who is an actual trained teacher, just trying to support his children this summer regrets every second he spends at that hell hole.

GOODBYE Oakview. I think I can speak for almost every parent still there when I say WE MISS YOU LORI AND AREKA!

My child attended this facility for a few months... Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this center. The staff is very unprofessional and rude. One of the bus drivers was very rude to me one morning and accused me that I owed for the two previous months. I explained to her that I paid and have never missed a payment. She had an awful attitude about it. The next day I brought in copies of those checks and no apology from anyone for their mistake. Every morning taking my child to this center he cried, he hated being there and told me he was picked on a lot. I repeatedly brought the issue up to the director and yet every time she assured she would handle or keeping an eye open northing was ever resolved. I moved my child from this center as quick as I could and things couldn't be better at his new daycare. My child was constantly bullied here, the staff made me feel as if my child was a burden to them and the facility is unclean.
