Tellico Plains Junior High School, also known as TPJHS, provides educational programs for students in grades five through eight. The school s staff offers educational classes in language arts, music, art, physical education, reading, writing, social studies and math. Its staff includes teachers, guidance counselors, custodians, and laboratory and office assistants. Tellico Plains Junior High School features a library that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of recreational reading options for its students. The school operates the Tellico Plains Jr. High Backer's Club. It offers special education programs and services for students with special needs. Located in Tellico Plains, Tenn., Tellico Plains Junior High School is governed by the Monroe County School System, which serves more than 5,500 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
