We were surprised when after Thanksgiving dinner (2017) we noticed our septic tank overflowing onto the driveway :-( We had been having our system pumped regularly by another company who was pleasant but not technically competent. We searched for a new, local company and Soares appeared to have all the necessary competency to find the parts of our system, inspect, clean and treat. We called them as a new customer (In a panic!) and they came out the next day to pump the tank. We spoke to the technician and he described a service they offered to rejuvinate and treat the system to dissolve sludge and grease which we agreed to do. They returned on Monday with two other technicians who were amazing. They used their high tech tools to find the other tank cover and the distribution box. They operated the Bobcat with surgical precision - neatly rolling the grass back like sod and putting the dirt on a tarp. They found all sorts of sludge in the D-Box and actually some original construction debris in the leech field lines (!). They power flushed and "vacuumed" all the lines in the leech field, the line between the septic tank and distribution box and the box itself. They applied a chemical treatment into the field to dissolve and "eat" the sludge to "rejuvenate" the leech field. They expertly put everything back together, the lawn was perfect and everything was neat and clean. After 2 weeks I checked in the septic tank and was absolutely thrilled - the level was way down where it was supposed to be (!) so the cleaning and rejuvenation has worked! We are thrilled and grateful for Soares expertise in this major repair. We are not naive - we know these systems eventually fail, but we are cautiously optimistic that this deep, thorough, professional cleaning and treatment has bought us at least 3-5 more years so we can better prepare for an inevitable new system - but doing it on our schedule, not Mother Nature's! We couldn't be happier - Soares is THE BEST!!
