Sadly disappointed…I brought in a family heirloom for repair. I was told I would be charged $35 for an estimate, but it would be applied to the repair. When the shop called me with the estimate, I had to ask for it in writing and it did not include all the work that was needed. So a week later I went back to the shop to discuss it in person and explain that I wanted the price for all the work that was needed. The following week I was called again, with a verbal estimate of $785.00, and it still did not include all the work that was needed. (The cost was about $300 more than the amount of the ballpark estimate I was given.) I went back to the shop the following week after that and paid $35.00 to get my watch back. I asked if they would apply the $35 to the work at a later date and the shop owner said no, it was for the labor to put it back together. Well it had been put back together the week before they knew whether I was repairing the watch or not. My feeling was that they did not want the job in the first place and overpriced the repairs so they would not have do the work to provide me with an accurate estimate. I’ll continue to shop for someone to repair the watch, but I will never pay for an estimate again. I will not do business with this company in the future.
