Using the da Vinci Surgical System, he performs surgeries that are more precise and cause less trauma, which in turn accelerates each patients healing and lowers their risk of complications.Dr. McAllister received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Baton Rouge, then completed his internship and residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Before going into private practice, he was an Instructor in Surgery and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of South Florida.Dr. McAllister is certified by the American Board of Surgery and Critical Care Medicine. He also maintains active membership in the American College of Surgeons and the Tampa Bay Surgical Society.When hes not in the office meeting patients or performing surgery, Dr. McAllister is involved with martial arts and enjoys the outdoors.
