I have been a patient of Dr Colanje now for over 10 yrs and I have never had a problem with him or his office staff. I have referred many of my friends to this pain management Dr and they are very happy as well.
If you suffer from chronic pain as I do please contact this practice and tell them Debbie C referred you to them.
This is a Dr that really takes the time to listen to your needs and explains EVERYTHING in detail without running out of the room. He is a very caring Dr. and he has a GREAT staff!
The only thing I wish they had was an after hours answering service in case of any problems or emergencies that you need to discuss with the Dr after they leave the office. You can leave a message on the phone but it would be much better if you can contact an answering service that will contact the Dr if you have any problems with your medicine or visit.
They just upgraded their system now that they will send your scripts electronically and directly to your pharmacy so you can go right to your pharmacy and have your medicine waiting for you.

They were a very friendly staff, very knowledgeable! They get you in very quick, was in 3 days after I called for an appointment. Very nice office. The Dr. Was great, really listens to you, feels as you are heard and can work on a plan to get you going towards a better quality of life. Not just about medication, about making a plan to get better. I highly recommend this place!!! :)

I have serious chronic pain, anxiety and depression due to being incapacitated. I am legally disabled obviously my pain is no joke. Its so hard to find a good place. They have an ad that they did not honor for $100 but I was there so I paid $150 rather then $100 that I was promised when I called. The office manager is totally rude. It took me two years to find the right medication to stabilize me so I can function not be bedridden until Pompano Pain got shut down. So I had to go to New Times, and I found this other one Fort Lauderdale Pain and Injury who initially reduced my meds by 1/3 and said he would up it next time. I didn't want to suffer for a month and now its going to be two bc this doctor wrote me basically the same thing bc he didn't listen so I am in chronic pain at the level of a 5 and chronically depressed at day 11. I am on mail order so my meds are delayed. They said I would get use to the reduction after awhile. Its not working. I got friends giving me massages. I use my neck brace when I need too and I am currently laying on a heating pad. The doctor said if I had issues I can call him.or go to the ER. I called to follow-up on my fax request for the receipt to try to get reimbursed by my insurance co. I sent in a fax request for it but the office manager said that he wasn't in and he made the comment that if I didn't like them I could leave. I told him the doctor said if I had issues to call. And, so I left a message and of course he never called me back. So, I started calling around and found several new places but its so hard to find a good one. The office manager asked me the dumbest questions. I'm not stupid. I finished my MBA in one year and quite successful until this serious of accidents. The office manager questioned what I was telling me rather then listened to help. I'm not withdrawing but I am in a funk and in pain and can't get out of bed. My pain level is a 5 and I am chronically depressed, more so then when I went in and I had a dramatic decrease by 1/3. They have no honor. I'm trying to study but I can't. I feel so weak. They don't care. All they care about is themselves. Then your stuck until your next appointment in 28 days. I've been in bed very weak and in pain bc I lost my appetite and depressed. When your in pain your not motivated to make food. Bernice use to listen and she noticed symptoms I had that other offices didn't. The wait time was three hours to see the doctor for ten minutes. They just want your money. I would never suggest my friends go here. I don't think they know what they are doing or how the medication actually works. THe office manager told me it was illegal to give what I was getting and they gave me the exact same thing except instead of Somas I got Flexiril that I told them it didn't work. Who knows what they are going to write on my discharge letter I requested today. We need a better system. Dr. Calonje literally wrote me what he did because what the other Doctor, Gonzales wrote me bc my discharge letter noted I kept asking for more meds. I asked to be reassessed bc they reduced me. And, the secretary there at Fort Lauderdale Injury and Management was selling you the world until you get there. My insurance company gave me the governing bureau to file a complaint bc they are out of network. But DON'T GO HERE!!! They don't care about you nor Ft Lauderdale Pain and Injury. I referred like three people and none of them like Dr Gonzalez at Fort Lauderdale Pain and Injury. We are all professionals too...or was. They are afraid of people with insurance because they know that there is more paper trail. They are suppose to be there to help your life better and lesson your pain, but these people made it worst for me.
