Charan Donkor, MD, FACS, is the Medical Director of Broward Surgical Specialist Group. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques for general and bariatric surgery. Dr. Donkor is Board-certified in general surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the Society for Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Medical Association. Clinical interests include minimally invasive surgical techniques for Bariatric and General Surgery with a focus on robotics. He has authored several recent articles, reviews and manuscripts primarily on robotics and its surgical techniques. Dr. Donkor is an international lecturer within his specialty and has recently presented in Dominican Republic, Curacao, Jamaica, Trinidad, Ecuador, Argentina and the Bahamas. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and the American Medical Association. He is also the author of several medical journal articles on surgical techniques, and has given many presentations and lectures on robot-assisted surgery. Dr. Donkor prides himself in delivering thoughtful, caring and compassionate care with the utility of state of the art technology.
