Tamaqua Area High School is a learning center that provides educational services to more than 700 students in grades nine through 12. The school offers a variety of programs, including dual enrollment, advanced placement, college preparatory and vocational. It conducts classes in subjects, such as calculus, economics, algebra, world history and applied communications. It also organizes sessions in public speaking and creative writing. In addition, the school provides French, German, Spanish and Latin as foreign languages. It offers a range of cocurricular activities, such as the National Honor Society, leadership council, drama, physical education, band, choir, and fine and practical arts. Additionally, Tamaqua Area High School provides food and counseling services. The school is a part of the Tamaqua Area School District. It is located in Tamaqua, Pa.
