For nearly 30 years now I have been a loyal customer at Abbey Ann s. I have bought & sold them countless items and they always treat me right. I always stop in and see what they have before I go out and buy anything new. It is a great place to find actual quality furniture (real wood) for 10% of the cost to go out and buy it at retail prices. There is no other similar business that is so negotiable on prices, friendly and with anywhere near as much stuff as Abbey Ann s. When you walk in the door you are always told to Name your price or Make an offer on anything . I have always been able to get exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. If you let them know you are interested in something they will always work with you. It is best summed up as a giant indoor yard sale without having to drive around all over to find what you want. They buy truckloads of items daily(brought in by the public or picked up by the staff) so you should stop in frequently. The entire look of the place is always changing and never gets stale. If you are moving or have items to get rid of they perform a great service of buying and picking up lots of otherwise unmanageable items. This store is one the last remaining businesses dedicated to customer service where the staff are helpful and actually care if they sell anything which makes them so easy to make deals with.

On Friday, June 16th, I put down a cash deposit of $25.00 on a Roll Top Secretary Desk and scheduled to pay the balance and pick up the desk on Friday, June 23rd. Went to pick up the desk and they had sold it to someone else. They said "the tag fell off"! My bet is they got a better offer. When you place a cash deposit on an item, it's sold, period. Got the deposit back, but I will never go in that store again. By the way, we found out the desk was sold, after we paid the balance and they sent someone back to get it. Don't waste your time at Abbey Ann's on West Avenue in Tallmadge, unless you enjoy getting screwed.
