Mike and I spoke on the phone about resizing my anniversary ring. We also discussed that I was an out of town customer and I really need the ring resized the same day. Mike was very busy especially because of the hoilday season. Mike and his staff did not hesitate about resizing my ring within two hours. I will highly recommend Mike to everyone.

I took my engagement ring to Mike's to have resized from a 6 to a 5.5. When I picked it up, they asked if it fit ok and then took my payment. As I was leaving the store I noticed the ring looked dirty so I walked back in and asked them to clean it. They cleaned the spot I was talking about and I left again. Upon getting to my car I noticed that my ring looked indented on one side, to the point that from certain angles it looked like one of my side diamonds was missing (it was pushed in that far). I took it back in to ask about it and that's when they told me for the first time that my ring had broken during the resizing and that was the best they could do to fix it. No apologies for breaking the most important piece of jewelry to me, no offer to refund me for the resizing. I understand that it is possible to damage a ring during resizing, but I expect them to be upfront about it. They let me leave the store TWICE without telling me that they had damaged my ring. As I wore the ring the next few days, I noticed that it still felt pretty loose and began to question if it was resized at all. I think my finger had just been puffy when I picked it up from them. So when I sent my ring to be fixed by the company that made it (which is requiring them to entirely remake the mounting) I asked what the current size was. They told me the ring I sent back was still a size 6. So not only did they damage my ring and not tell me about it, they also didn't even resize it. I called to ask for a refund and the owner tried to deny it. He only agreed to give me a refund after I told him that not only had he broken my engagement ring, he did not tell me he broke it, and then didn't resize it on top of that. I did get my refund, but this is an unacceptable way to do business. Especially when dealing with an item so sentimental. Yes my ring after being repaired by another company will look like new, but it won't be the ring my fiance proposed with and that breaks my heart. I trusted them and they broke my ring and then I guess hoped I wouldn't notice.
