poorist haircut I have ever had...my hair was waistlength..all I wanted was 6 inched trimmed...I now have an uneven layered haircut...never seen such a mess in my life...even the instructor was clueless...I should have followed my gut when I walked in...and left.

My experience at Bj's was pleasant. a bit nosiy and caotic, but its a school, so I was expecting that. I had a student by the name of Shannon and she was very nice and professional. Not all the students are that way, some need a little lesson in customer service, but I have always related that to the fact that its a school and this is where they learn all the different areas of their profession and some are at different levels of their schooling. Shannon did a superb job and when she ran into areas where she felt she needed guidance, she had a instructor trainee by the name of Miss Jewli come over and assist her. The two did a fabulous job of communicating and Miss Jewli asked me if I minded that she used me as a model to show shannon a few "tricks" for finishing work.. I was happy to be a part of it.. It was a great experience for me.Shannon is great and I would reccommend her!

My experience was negative from the start with Miss April (owner/manager/unhappy (ahem)). I requested to get some colored hair extensions and was told to come in to pick them out. I went down there and picked them out and after telling this woman what I wanted asked her if I needed to pay for them while pulling out my wallet. She said it was not necessary and said they would be ready to pick up tomorrow. Called the next day and she called in sick, called a week later and was told they would take time to get there. Called a month later after originally ordering them and Miss April's middle man told me I had to pre-pay for them. I told them that I had been in already. She said that I must have been mistaken with the conversation. Miss April had acted as if I was bothering her from the start, so I just told them after my negative experiences that I would prefer to end my patronage with them. As far as I'm concerned I hope Miss April's company chokes handling business "BJ" style.

My family got haircuts here and was very happy. Four haircuts for $20! WOW! We will be back. The students and teachers were very good.

Very unclean and unsanitary conditions. Unprofessional students that cuss and scream during the whole time you are there. Students dropping combs and then using them and other dirty utensils on people. The instructors are rude and degrade the students in front of the clients. They never have products in stock for your hair if it is needed. Instructors are never around to check work and so they ask other students to check. It must be really bad when so many instructors have now quite even those that have been there for years. They don't keep up with your hours and constantly loose your paperwork that even has personal information on it. There are hidden fees that you are constantly charged for even though you have already paid. Students here wish they had never signed up for this school. The owner keeps all loans and pell grants and will not dispurse to you the amount that you should receive. You have no control over the money for school, she keeps it all because she uses it up by ove

I was told by manager to let them know if I couldn't remove the bleach stains on my blouse made by student. I brought the blouse in after several washings. I did not ask for money or a replacement blouse. I simply followed up on what the manager told me to do, by letting them know that the blouse was ruined. ######I would have been happy to accept an apologetic statement that at their low prices they couldn't afford to do anything, or the offer of a free $7.00 haircut, or something.######Instead, the owner the owner was rude and condescending, lecturing me on people who wear nice clothes to get their hair done.She said she would speak to the student, but obviously had no intention to do so, since she did not get my name or check my service card to get his name. She didn't even get up from her desk to talk to me, but dismissed me after complaining to me about another patron with a ruined blouse.######I wonder if she would patronize an establishment whose owner treated her in this way?
