People are nice and efficient, but I have had my mail opened, peeked... too many times.

The service provided for packages arriving for distribution from this location is deplorable. According to the internet website, a package I expected had a delivery confirmation date between Feb. 24 and Feb. 26. In addition, the information indicates this package was in Syracuse, for delivery, at 2:20 P.M. on Feb. 23. The mail for Feb. 27 has already been delivered and still no package has been received. Numerous attempts to contact customer service were impossible . There isn't any reasonable excuse for such service!

My husband and I moved into his brother in laws old home. My husband's brother bought another home in the area. Now my mail and my husands mail gets forwarded to his brothers new home even though it has my name or my husbands name on the letter with the address we are currently at. We have called the post office, gone to the post office to share this issue and whoever sorts the mail does not pay attention to the name on the letter. My husband gets a monthly check in the mail and it was forwarded to my brother in laws name and address. This is getting very frustrating just because we have the same last name. If the person who sorts the mail would pay attention to the first name and not just the last name this would not be a problem. How many times do we have to call about this? We moved here at this address in October 2014 and it is now February 24, 2015 and the problem has yet to be resolved. I have no clue who to speak with as nothing has helped resolve this!

Re:holding mail When i left a request to hold my mail while I was away, one of the options on the from was to have the held mail delivered on a certain date v, picking it up at the post office, I chose the former with the knowledge of the employee who reviewed the request - he said he didn't know if they still did that, but because it was a listed option, it must be OK - the date for delivery has come and gone - regular delivery has resumed, except no delivery of held mail. When i attempted to call the PO - all phone numbers I could find led to answering machines and the "Customer Service" number was useless in this regard. The mail pickup hours are restrictive and i have been told if i wish to pick up mail at other times i need to "call ahead" - call who, precisely? at what phone number? Please, get you act together - if you don't deliver held mail, remove it as an option, tell your employees, and for pete's sake, provide a phone number to arrange pick-up!

My postal carrier is named Dave too and He is the most pleasant person I have ever met, Goes out of the way for pple and always has time to share a kind word no matter how cold or hot.I live in Orchard Estates and its not easy delivering there. He is loved by all and APPRECIATED and the same for workers at the counter at the taft Rd location, the best in the world I dont know how they do it,..However today 12/14/2012 between 8:00 and 8:30 pm i had to call and track and the young man was the most rudest person i have ever come across, and not professional one bit, shouldnt be working at the post office, he had a really un cool attitude. and hung up on me. Thank God for pple like Dave and the lovley people working the counters at the Taft rd . C. Yost
