This is eclectic Cali-Mex food. The food is delicious, and I'd rate it a 5. They serve vegan, vegetarian, chicken, and fish. Excellent cornbread, and I've been pleased with all the food I've ordered, though I often wish people would stop over-using red onion in general, and at Alto Cinco in their guacamole and salsa. But this, I realize, is a personal taste thing. They are too overpowering and dominate the flavors in my opinion. Green onion or Mayan Sweets would be preferable, but I digress.The reason for the 4/5 rating is two-fold. Price is a big issue. $9 for a burrito is asking a bit much, no matter how good it is. I was happier when the burritos ranged from $6-8.The other issue is space. They have a huge clientele and very little room, making the tables feel cramped. They frequently play the music too loudly so that people have to talk loudly and result is a din. I highly recommend calling ahead for carry-out, which is a shame because the main dining room has unique decor.
