For more than 25 years, Unitarian Universalist Church has been serving as a nonfederal religious institution. The church fights for the welfare and human rights of the citizens of the United States. Based in Surprise, Ariz., it offers a range of holy services and works for gay rights, ordaining gay ministers and celebrating gay unions. The church also renders a membership option, where in people can join the church and serve the community. In 1987, the Unitarian Universalist Association established the Common Vision Planning Committee.
