I dealt with Roy twice. I used his services to bring a broken down car to and from the dealership. The first interaction with him was very easy and free flowing. He even gave me a ride to work afterwards which was nice.



Our second interaction was horrible. We scheduled an appointment the day before to meet at 12 noon. When I called around 11:30am to let him know I was on my way to the dealership, he had forgotten about our appointment so we rescheduled for 1:30pm. He then called me at 12:15pm and says to meet him there at that moment. It took the dealership 25 minutes to get the car ready to go. Roy tries charging me $1/minute for the wait time when it was his mismanagement of time that didn't give me ample time to have the car ready in the first place.

When I explained this to him and told him I wasn't going to pay him extra, he threatened to take my car to the yard and charge me extra to get it out. Then he drives away from my house with me still in the car, and my car still attached to his truck. This had to be illegal in some way.



He eventually argues with me and drives back to my house. After being absolutely fed up with this guy and not knowing what else to do, I gave him his money and he gives me back have of the extra charge and tries to say it was the dealerships fault all of this happened and "now we both can be a little happier." No sir. I would have been happy if you didn't spend so much time arguing and being stubborn, if you had kept your original appointment and if you hadn't driven away from my house with me and my car still attached.



This was the worst experience I have had dealing with any company and I will never use his services again.



I am not saying this will be your experience, but realize this man has the potential to be extremely unprofessional.

Roy was the best! We had our 4 kids with us but Roy fit us all into his truck. He towed our truck to a friends and then took us to a rental car place. The rental place was closed (even though their webpage said otherwise!) so he ended up driving us from south of Campbell all the way to the airport. He was nice, knew what he was doing and I will definitely call him if I need a tow again. Call him!

This day in age, it is less and less likely to find an unplanned service provider like A Better Cheaper Tow who provides a great value. Roy is 'old school'; he shows up on time, and gets the job done with the right equipment, using proper care for your car and charges a fair price. In our case, he discovered the flatbed he arrived with was not the right equipment to safely tow my rear wheel drive car with a faulty transmission, so he took the time to review the owner's manual, find what was needed in our situation, and called his friend Joe(Advanced Tow) to help me. Joe sent his worker Mario to complete the tow safely without any damage and at the original price - no drama.

I would highly recommend Roy and Joe, and if needed (I hope not) he will be our default call for a tow. By the way, Roy was a good joker and his little dog was very cute. You'll like them both. Roy told me he was 70 already. He looked quite young though(my guess was 55). He said:"I enjoy helping people. Sure, I enjoy making money too, at my age. Ha, ha, ha..."

Left my credit card in his car. When I found out and called him he came back to my work to return it.

Highly recommended!. The gentleman who came over was extremely friendly and helpful in troubleshooting the problem with my car. He quickly diagnosed the issue, even drove me to a nearby auto store to buy a new battery to replace my dead battery, which fixed the problem. Highly professional service for a very inexpensive charge. He brings along a pet companion dog "Rascal", who is extremely adorable!.

I would definately recomend this tow company, Bill our tow guy did an exceptional job, he's very professional, showed up quick, made us feel comfortable, very much a people person, he made me laugh in a not so great situation. Far from over-priced. This really was the best tow job EVER!

This is by far the best tow experience I ever had, if that is possible. This guy tried several times to try to start my 2001 Nissan Sentra to save me some money. This was the best tow experience I have ever had! Roy was supposed to simply tow my car but instead he made it start and helped me figure out what was wrong with it. He went above and beyond my expectations and you can tell that he really enjoys helping people. This was the least I ever had to pay for this kind of service and he even gave me a free ticket!!!
