Based in Sun Lakes, Ariz., Neighbors Who Care is a community based organization serving senior citizens. The organization provides a range of services and facilities, such as transportation, dinner delivery, family caregiver relief and more. It also provides support for day-to-day shopping, including food, household, personal care items and medications and necessary errands involving banking, post office and others. Neighbors Who Care offers volunteers for friendly visiting as well as minor repairing assistance, including small repairs and minor installations. Its benefits assistance and business help include reconciling bank statements, organizing/paying bills, Medicare/medical insurance papers, tax papers/reports and more.

Neighbors Who Care made such a difference when my mother needed help after her injury. Volunteers took her to physical therapy appointments and brought her meals since she couldn't shop or cook for herself. It was a blessing to have their help since I wasn't able to drive my mom to every appointment, and she so looked forward to the interesting conversations in the car with her drivers. I also got involved with NWC's Caregiver Support Group led by case manager, Bonnie Kosar. What a helpful group that got me through some challenging times.

I really am a fan of the work that Neighbors Who Care does and the wonderful volunteers that support this community, so much so that I am now a member of the Neighbors Who Care staff! It's so rewarding to be a part of this caring organization.
