BECAUSE ZERO IS NOT AN OPTION....

BECAUSE ZERO IS NOT AN OPTION.

AMAZING - had to update my post - did some research trying to find the OWNER (Harold T. Dukes) of Music is Motion because I thought he would need to be aware of the horrible lack of fundamental customer service and DISCOVERED that Mr. Harold T. Dukes is running a business called: Children's Cancer Cooperative at the same exact address: 1341 College Park Road (www.http://www.childrenscc.com/). Wish someone would investigate that a little further. Wonder if the non-profit is run with the same finesse as the Awful Anything But Fun Family Center.

My original post starts here:

Went to a birthday party here and will not ever go back. Expected the lack of cleanliness, sub par customer service, token games that didn't work and ate quarters. After my six year old daughter spent one hour earning redemption tickets, the manager refused to let her "cash in" for a penny prize. Said, "Oh, Yeah, the redemption booth closes at 4PM. And I don't care." I asked where that was posted (I own a retail business and I'm very considerate to all service employees because I have empathy for their job) and she said, "Oh, Yeah, we don't HAVE to post it." I asked if she could just go over and she said, "Oh, Yeah, I don't have enough staff (there were 6 employees standing around her with their mouths open)." She took PLEASURE in telling us she had no intention of letting my daughter use the 251 tickets she had earned. Unless we came back another time. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. I just hope this manager gets treated, at some point in time, with the lack of common courtesy we just got. She was SMUG, SATIRICAL, and ACTUALLY ENJOYED MAKING MY DAUGHTER CRY. Never encountered such a horrible person in my life. Surprised they are still open?

THIS PLACE ISNT WHAT IT USE TO...

THIS PLACE ISNT WHAT IT USE TO BE. I've had numerous problems with this establishment, most recently a very upsetting matter transpired. I'm reading these reviews for the first time today to see if other people had similar problems. Id like to see the management do something about the issues of customers so our children can have a "safe" place to go. True enough, years ago we thought we could trust them with our children and were told by the management to leave our kids in their hands, but what I found out happens behind these closed doors what mortifying. I dont think the actual Owner knows what goes on--I think that the Management and officers may not be informing the Owner of the truth of it all. Anyways, I would really like to talk to you and others regarding this place..can you please email me? I dont want to post my telephone number on this site. I can reach me at tramway29483@yahoo.com. There is another parent that I noticed posted a review through Yahoo - it appears that she wants to have some sort of "coming to Jesus" with the Owner and may even be contacting the media. She has asked for all who are concerned to contact her at midnite412004@yahoo.com - just in case you are unable to find her post. Thanks!

For teens

I agree with what I've read in other reviews. Staff is not frirendly or organzied or trained. However, I can drop my teenage girl off and not worry about her. Once she's inside she is not allowed out, she is supervised and the other kids are watched closely for drugs and alcohol. Fights are broken up rapidly. The police officers seem unfriendly to adults but my children say very nice things about them so obviously they relate to the kids. I have to walk in to get her and they watch me as she leaves with me. I am not allowed to pick up random children and have to identify myself to take her friends home even when she's with me. It might take her 20 minutes to get in because they are so unorganized that they can't handle a crowd, but she's safe. If I drop her off and she lingers outside, they come out and get her. If I stay and watch her, they watch me, as if they wonder why I'm sitting there watching children. Security is excellent and that's what I care most about. It's a great place for teens. I agree that it's not so great for small children.
