Based on the concept of operating outlet stores for products offered to supermarkets, Jim Witherspoon and Lee Wegener opened their first Pamida retail store in 1963. It offers a range of appliances, electronics, furniture, health and beauty products, housewares, jewelry, pet supplies, stationery and toys. Pamida operates a pharmacy division that provides nonprescription medications and offers blood pressure check services. The company supports the Pamida Foundation that offers charitable contributions to community organizations for disabled and underprivileged people. Its foundation contributes to Big Brothers, Big Sisters, DARE Programs, Head Start Programs, Kinship Mentoring Programs, Salvation Army, Senior Centers, United Way and food pantries. It sponsors several events, including Shop with a Cop, Relay for Life, Hometown Hero Day, Canine Rescue, golf tournaments, Farmer s Markets, and Fire and Bicycle safety programs. Pamida maintains a presence in Sturgis, S.D.

Good service. Mason is extremely helpful. I appreciate their helpful attitudes. Mason is probably one of the best employees there.

The older women employees are rude to customers, except the blonde lady, no name tags or i would say their names, they act as though they do not have time to ring up items, lines are always long and products usually over priced, brian is good with the customers and good at training, will not be shopping there anymore
