For the most part the food is served family style and families do show up. There is plenty of Italian food and it is done in real Italian flavor, not like a lot of places. The sauces are fresh and rich, the meat freshly butchered and prepared and the deserts are all made by their pastry chef. But, if you want a quiet dinner for two or three, go somewhere else. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the tables were too close and the loudness from the family table was undeniably unbearable. Tables were yelling over each other just so they could hear one another and we could not even enjoy the dinner and hurried to leave. The owner who was taking pictures no doubt for his web page should consider something to absorb the noise or have a strolling musician so people will keep the conversation down but then again everyone had a NY accent and we're very rude. Maybe a trip during the week would be different, no obnoxious tourists. The place was another restaurant before this one and it was very nice with fantastic Italian food, with a center tabletop glass beaded fire table, which is now gone for more room for tables.

If you do go, bring earplugs and listen to music and learn hand signals....
