We, my 11 year old sons and I, stumbled upon Jim Clark tonight. We caught him before he was heading home. We suddenly got swept into an awesome and inspired free lesson that has me very excited to get in and focus on the technique, the rhythm, and really making music. He was able to pinpoint a few things that could help my young musicians and myself play better. Also, check out his students. He's got some really great young artists who are bang on the rhythm and the art of music.

A master of the guitar, Jim is a noble teacher. I was only able to take a few lessons with Jim but I'm still using those lessons to master my skills. I leave every lesson a little closer to mastering my guitar. Highly recommend him if your ad looking to take your music seriously.

Who ever would comment on personal problems blocking the effectiveness of Jim Clarks teaching ability should maybe consider addressing their own personal problems first. My mother taught me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. I'm 40 years old and have been playing guitar on and off for 30 years. I recently starting playing again after a 15 year break and feel like I have learned more in 3 months studying with Jim than all my years combined with other instructors. Jim has a way of figuring out how people tick and making a connection with them. He wears his heart on his sleeve . Music is much more than just learning theory and songs but a way to make a connection with other people. I feel like Jim has brought out the music in me and my playing is better than it ever has been. With running a business and raising 2 young boys I look forward every week to my lesson. Music is a great stress reliever.

Jim is a good guitar instructor. However, he has too many personal problems which now impact his business. He is no longer effective because of his personal problems. Unfortunately I can not recommend him any longer.

Jim Clark: The Serious Choice

I've been taking lessons with Jim for six and a half years and the thought of stopping hasn't crossed my mind. His way of teaching is unlike any other teacher I've had. He has a way of presenting the material in a manner that sticks with you. He doesn't just teach you a song, he teaches you what makes the song. It is very evident that he is committed to making you into a musician, rather than someone who just plays the guitar. Jim is more like a musical mentor for me who's lessons continue to open my eyes to new things I'd never thought of even after six years of playing. He's most definitely the best teacher I've ever had and also someone I consider a friend. Jim even went out during his free time and bought me an original copy of The Blizzard of Ozz, a CD I've been looking for for quite sometime. What other teacher would do that? It is obvious that he truly cares about his students. Jim has always gone above and beyond for me. If you are serious about wanting to become a musician, then Jim Clark is the only serious choice for lessons.
