The new manager Matt was willing to work with us and get our car repaired quickly and contrary to popular belief they were within a few dollars of most places I have called. Minus backyard Bob. The tech who worked on it knew his stuff and got my car fixed in a timely manner. Reccomend and will go back..

I went to Midas for a serpentine belt and my car overheating. They replaced the belt without a hitch. However, the told me that I needed a whole new radiator, new hoses, and $2,000 worth of work just to get my car running correctly again. (This was over two days. The first day was the belt, then I discovered the overheating, five minutes from the store) They also told me that I had no oil in my car, when the day before they said I had, along with other minor issues that apparently went wrong in less than 24 hours. When my husband told them that we were not willing to put that amount of money into the car, they dropped the price to $1,200, then again to $750 when I still refused. (The car will not pass e-check). When my husband than called them again to tell them we are taking the car to get a second opinion, they haggled with him that they could take more off and then got snooty when my husband still said we were taking it somewhere else and that we will be there in 10 minutes and to have it off the lift. Once we arrived, he proceeded to show me where my hoses leaked. The second opinion I got said I only needed a new radiator cap and a new hose and quoted me $200. I can see why Midas didn't want us to get the second opinion. Too bad I was out of the parking lot when I discovered they broke my grill, which is now only held on by a tiny plastic pin.

Stopped in Midas to get my car checked prior to leaving on a trip. Larry Baldwin (store manager) told me there was eminent threat to my tires and breaks. I was in the shop with my 4-year-old and he told us that my tire wall was going to burst at any time. That I had special tires which is why they were so expensive. He was looking me in the eye and told me he did price checks to everyone in the area and they were the cheapest by $170. He was going to charge me $2,300 and said they price matched for 30-days.

Long story short... After I got home I called a few places and I was getting hosed. I called them to stop work and Larry refused. He went as far as to yell at my husband and mother who called to get more information. By the time I talked to the district manager he took the price down to $1,4026... Assuring me he was taking 50% off my breaks because that's the special they we were running.

After comparing estimates... He didn't take 50% off. They said I needed rotors.. Thankfully my husband requested all the parts since they wouldn't stop working on our car. I did not need new rotors at all. They're thick and smooth!!!

The way their receipts/estimates are written they don't tell you much information on the products or adjustments. My tire cost was cut in half but they provided to no information to me about them on the receipt. They just wanted me to sign stuff and get out the door.. And after the way the manager yelled at me, yelled at my husband, and even yelled at my mother!-- We didn't want to hang around the store.

Do not trust this company. Do not believe what they tell you. Avoid them. Don't believe their threats and that your car is in danger-- it's likely not.
