They quickly responded for a call for help when my furnace broke down. A repair tech was there quickly and diagnosed the problem and recommended a furnace replacement. We expected as much because of the age of the furnace the severity of the problem. A salesman quickly arrived a gave us a fair bid for the project. We asked them to install ASAP because of sub-zero temps on the way. The new furnace arrived and the installers did a great job with the install. They took great care to protect our floors and keep them from getting soiled. The whole process was only four hours. They were all very professional and showed concern about making sure we would have heat. I highly recommend them. Dennis S

Joe and Rocko did a great job on our somewhat complex system. Fine tuned all operation and went over them with us --- with many suggestions on how to maximize our system ... As a result , we signed up for the yearly maintenance program with Schwantes ..

I wanted to commend Schwantes' Service Technician Joe Letendre for the excellent service he provided to my home today. He was prompt, personable, professional and obviously skilled in his profession. He took time to answer my questions which will help keep my HVAC equipment working well educated me on recognizing problems which will require service. I would highly recommend Schwantes to other people seeking HVAC purchase/service.

I bought a new Trane air conditioner in July 2009 from Home Depot. A different company (i.e., not Schwantes) installed it and my freon leaked out by May 2011. I called the installing company up and they didn't fix it. The installing company simply added freon and charged me $269.92 to do it. They also left a pre-typed out note on the invoice (apparently this happens enough they have the foresight to have typed out notes to staple to invoices) saying:"Refrigerant leaks are not covered by any type of warranty. There are approximately 600-800 welds on an a/c unit. We can do leak detection to try and find the leak(s) this service can run over $600.00 and we only have a 40%-50% chance of discovering the leak(s). This will however not prevent leaks in the future and you may have had more than one leak from the beginning. With the high cost of leak detection with no guarantee you may want to consider replacing your air conditioner."I had just bought a $3,150.00 air conditioner less than 2 years before the installing company gave me this note! I will never use them again after this experience.Needless to say, by May 2012 my air conditioner was not cooling like it was supposed to again due to the leak. I called up Schwantes instead of the installing company and Schwantes came out and used a leak repair kit to fix the leak. I also bought an extended Trane warranty from them that covers parts and labor for 10 years from the date of installation (so at least for the next 7 years I shouldn't have to pay anymore for my A/C). I strongly recommend getting one of these warranties when you initially buy your A/C.Schwantes was very understanding and indicated that they always do a 5 year parts and labor warranty for their installations. I wish they had done mine initially. The installing company only gave me a 1 year warranty on labor, and of course, unless your line is completely busted open, it will be pretty hard to know if you have a freon leak in the first year. Anyways, I really wish I had gone with Schwantes initially. They are easy to work with and do a great job taking care of their customers.

Schwantes installed a Trane furnace and air conditioner last fall. We can't believe how quiet a comfortable our home has become. We used to set the thermostat to 68 in cooling to be comfortable and after running the a/c a few days this spring we have discovered we don't need to set it any lower than 72 to make the whole house comfortable.Thank you Schwantes!
