We were lucky to find dr. Horton when we moved here in June, 2010. From Seattle. We had 2 dogs a lovely English springer spaniel (Sara)) &'an adorable rescue westie/French bulldog (.Karma). Dr. Horton was always at their level. She was on the floor with Sara & as someone else reviewed they got lots of treats & loved to see her. When Sara had a "stroke" in march, 2012& needed to be put down, it was Dr. Horten's day off & even though we were I good hands with the other. Vet, dr, horten came in just to be supportive. Now that's not only a great vet, but a compassionate & caring human being..

I am so glad a friend of mine ...

I am so glad a friend of mine told me about this, vet and Dr. Horton.. My dog Buddy (Black Lab/Pitt) had cancer the last vet we had did NOT take their time with him or run tests, because he was abused as a puppy and so when he first met people he wouldnt work with them he would become a little aggressive even though HE NEVER bit anyone. She was so AWESOME with him, she tried to get to know him, took the tests to find out what was wrong with him, and worked with him really well. We found out he had advanced cancer in his neck and chest, but she did the best she could with him even though their was not alot we could do but try and keep him comfortable and out of pain, he lost his fight within two weeks to the day she told us . She showed alot of compassion for us and him. When it came down to say good bye and let him go to heaven she was, really really good with him she had made up her mind she was NOT going to muzzle him, he went very easy and very peaceful. From that moment on I still have three other dogs and a cat we changed vets and she gets all my babies.. I will NOT go to any other vet, and I trust her and the staff they are all wonderful and the babies love them as well!! So if u have an aggressive dog due to, any reasons she will take her time with them even when another vet wont or they want to be rough with them because of it, SHE WONT be rough at all with them and she will try and do her best and work with them. I am constantly telling anyone and everyone go to see her... I will also continue to do so...

Patience and lots of treats

I own a rottie and for most people she is shy and nervous. She doesn't travel well and Angel Care fortunately is in walking distance. After a few trips my dog has warmed up very well to Dr. Horton. The staff are great and she receives lots of treats and attention when we go in for our visits. I highly recommend this facility - your pet will get the care it needs and deserves. Thanks for all the staff and Dr. for doing a great job.

Wise and Gentle: Very impressed

Dr. Horton examined my dog from head to toe with a concentration that made me know my dog had her full attention. She asked questions about how he acted at home, how I knew he was not not feeling well, and she explained what his symptoms meant and exactly how she felt he needed to be cared for. She was interested in his medical history, and asked questions that really made me think she studies how a dog acts and why. I was impressed with her understandable medical and behavior explanations. Dr. Horton had a special gentle touch with my dog and I knew I would take him back to her any time I have a health concern.
