An internet search describes this place as a "GAY BAR" on Staten Island. I called the place up and the bartender (a female) was very nice and she said all are welcome here ! I do not think The Curly Wolf is actually a gay bar and it also is not known by the gay community here. However, I will say it is probably "Gay Friendly" and my how times have changed ! Out here in Annadale on Staten Island's Republican and very conservative South Shore, I am positive calling up a bar here only 10 years ago and asking if it were gay would have got you an immediate hang-up and possibly a few choice and nasty words, too ! Today, most decent, good, and fair-minded people are more tolerant and accepting of homosexuals and the younger generation is for sure ......it's a good thing !
